I am reporting here a brief overview on my research activities that I have been involved in so far. It can help me to keep track of my research activities, skills, and resume and albeit may open new connections with those who might have common interests!

News about Me
Oct 2017:
The last chapter of my phd dissertation which was more elaborated in past year was finally published in Internal Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer:
"Pitch and aspect ratio effects on single-phase heat transfer through microscale pin fin heat sinks"
The vortex shedding phenomena in our micro pin fin heat sinks is discussed thoroughly in this paper. Besides plots for experimental heat transfer data, the paper presents our flow visualization findings using high speed camera. For the first time in literature, we could develop a correlation for Nusselt number dependent on the micro pin fin's pitch and aspect ratios.
June 2017:
I presented latest developments on our Solar Thermal facility in ASME Power and Energy Conference (ICOPE2017), June 26-30, Charlotte, NC.
August 2016:
The following manuscript is published in Internal Journal of Transport Phenomena. This was part of my PhD dissertation work:
"Phase-Change Heat Transfer Characterization in Microscale Pin Fin Heat Sinks"
The effect of pitch and aspect ratio variation on two phase heat trasnfer coefficient in micro pin fin heat sinks was studied in this paper. It was shown that existence of Vortex Shedding in a micro pin fin heat sink would eliminate the wall temperature overshoot. Also likewise the single phase (discussed in HTE paper- below), the heat sinks with Vortex Shedding show better thermal performance.
March 2016:
I presented our micro heat exchanger work in The First Pacific Rim Thermal Engineering Conference.
Jan 2016:
I officially started working at UC Davis as a Postdoctoral scholar. My work focuses on developing a Solar Thermal test facility enabling experiments on microchannel receivers using Super-critical Carbon Dioxide. I do also work on designing, fabrication, and characterization of novel heat exchangers which will be Additively Manufactured.
March 17, 2015:
The following manuscript has been published in Heat Transfer Engineering Journal:
"Single -Phase Cryogenic Flows through Microscale Pin Fin Heat Sinks"
In this paper which is the continuation of the work published in ICNMM2014, liquid nitrogen single phase results in 4 pin fin heat sinks were discussed. Thermal imaging findings using an IR camera in separate visualization experiments also were provided to explain the reasons of intriguing trends seen in heat transfer and pressure drop plots.
Feb 2, 2015:
It is time to discover visually what is going on within my micro channel heat sinks during convective heat transfer. Video clips in below are depicting surface temperature distribution of two of pin fin heat sinks with the same pin fin size but varied spacing. Do you see any difference? Click here for further information.

A manuscript just submitted to Heat Transfer Engineering Journal with the following title:
" Single -Phase Cryogenic Flows through Microchannel Pin Fin Heat Sinks"
March 16, 2014:
My paper just got accepted in ICNMM 2014 with the following title:
"Single-Phase Cryogenic Flows through Microchannel Heat Sinks"
12th Int. Conf. on Nanochannels, Microchannels, and Minichannels (ICNMM2014) will be held on 3-7th of October in Chicago, Illinois.
March 6, 2014:
I presented a poster about Cryogenic Electroinc Cooling Research in graduate student research exposition which OSU MIME school held in Portland, Oregon. We were hosting industry professionals and OSU prospective graduate students there to open a window on them about the researches which is happening in our department.
